TERMS & CONDITIONS - MICRO CREDENTIALS
Post-Purchase:
After purchase, please monitor your email for next steps. If you do not receive an email, please contact the Micro Credentials Help Desk with your order details such as order number.
Course Completion:
Micro Credentials are courses that are designed to be short, tailored and flexible. While the courses are expected to be completed within 5 - 20 hours, all learners will have access to the course for up to three (3) months. It is your responsibility to complete the course within that timeframe.
If you need to extend the completion timeline, please contact us at upskill@newwestcollege.com. Extension requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds:
All Micro Credentials are non-refundable once purchased. If you have any issues accessing the course, please contact the Micro Credentials Help Desk
Participation & Code of Conduct:
Learners are encouraged to engage fully with all readings, videos, activities and interactive content. This will enable a comprehensive learning experience. Where discussions or peer activities are included, respectful, and professional communication is required at all times.
All learners are expected to uphold New West College's standards of professionalism, respect and inclusivity. Harassment, discrimination or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated
Certificates & Recognition:
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a digital certificate, which can be accessed in the "Awards" section in the navigation bar in D2L Brightspace. You will be able to download the Certificate in a PDF format, which can be shared, as necessary.
Please note that certificates are issued only when all requirements are met and you have passed the necessary assessments. Passing requirements will be stated clearly in each course, as applicable.
Technology:
Learners are responsible for ensuring reliable internet access and a device capable of running Brightspace. For technical issues within the Brightspace platform, please use the "Chat" function located at the bottom right corner. If additional assistance is required, please send an email to upskill@newwestcollege.com.
